Due to health reasons I have not been able to participate in the working society for some years now. I started searching for something in my life to give me fulfilment, as I did not feel very happy doing nothing. About  9 years ago I read in the paper about a dolls- and bear exhibition of Niesje Wolters at a Motel in Deventer. Never before had I visited such an exhibition. I felt like Alice in Wonderland, so many dolls and bears. I did not sleep all night due to the impressions of that day. Unfortunately, I had to wait a week before I could go to the next exhibition to buy materials and to subscribe for a course of doll making.

Now, so many years later, I have my own stand on the exhibitions (who would have thought this). Not only do I sell the handmade baby-dolls but also Reborn babu-dolls and all the materials necessary to make them and the clothing they wear. On Exhibitions you can recognise my stand by the Stork carrying a book in its mouth with my name on it.

You can only find me at the exhibitions, and I sell from my home or by mail.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE handmake  BABY-DOLLS.

They are happy-looking and comforting handmade baby-dolls of which there is no equal. The head, the hands and feet are moulded of Australian Clay (Modelene), because this clay stays more true to nature after baking it in the oven. 

• Artist's Modelene has very good plasticity and very good retention of details
• Artist's Modelene is baked in ordinary electrical kitchen oven
• Artist's Modelene will not distort or get tacky when baking
• It can be baked together with almost any other material used for doll making, such as plastic eyes, eyelashes, hair etc
• Artist's Modelene can be re-baked many times which gives the opportunity of mending a damaged sculpture

For the eyes I use Glass Crystal eyes in the sizes 18, 20 and 22 mm. The eyelashes are made of real hair and the wig is made of mohair, as this looks most like the hair of a baby. The body consists of five parts which are fastened to each other through bear-disks, after which it is filled with granulate and fibrefill. Through this construction the baby-doll can sit or lay in any position and the weight is distributed through the entire doll.

The baby-dolls are delivered with a stamped Certificate of Authenticity. This certificate carries a photo of the baby-doll.

They are happy-looking and comforting reborn baby-dolls of which there is no equal. The head, the hands and feet are Vinyl.
